If you prefer a more personal weather frog, keep on reading. I do not care much about degrees , I would rather know what the weather in St. Pete feels like and what to wear when I come to Tampabay for a vacation.
Mid November, December, January, February to mid March, you want to wear layers, peel offs, like an onion. It can be cold in the morning but then around noon it warms up and once you get in the sun it might feel like T shirt weather or even bikini weather.

The moment a cloud comes by, you need a light sweater and if it is windy, be prepared, you want a heavy sweater. As you know, I am a Realtor here in Saint Pete, spending a lot of time outside showing properties and I always have a sweater in my car, summer and winter.

In the winter you might need it because of the outside temperatures, in the summer you need it because of the inside temperatures, by that I mean air conditioning. Floridian restaurant owners are strange people. Instead of saving energy they try to use as much as they can. So much that in the summer time you feel like you are walking into a freezer when you enter a restaurant. I am sorry but to this day (16 years later) it is still amazing to me. True Floridians always run their AC system and therefore make their own weather conditions here in Saint Petersburg Tamapbay. They switch from cooling directly to heating. I use my heating maybe 10 to 15 times during the winter month and only for a few hours at a time. Cooling I only use in the summer month of June, July August and September. From Mid October to end of May my AC is off. I love the breeze and the fresh air and the freedom to have all the window and doors open.

Dressing in the summer month is very easy, shorts and tank tops; a t shirt is too much already. The heat is not the problem but the humidity might get to you. Forget Make up, it will run fast than you can put it on. We really do not have rain in Florida, other than in the summer month but do not worry and leave your umbrella at home, by the time you can open it you are soaking wet already. Just make sure that you ALWAYS close the top of your car (if you have a convertible) when leaving it unattended for a few moments. Summer storms came fast and they go fast, before you know the sun is out again and life goes on as usual. One thing you want to pay a little more attention to is Thunder. When you spend a day on the beach or go boating or fishing, watch the sky, when you see thunder clouds, you better get off and out of the water. The weather in St. Petersburg Tampabay can change within minutes. Fishing, well fishing is great here in Saint Petersburg Tampabay, no matter what kind of weather you have. You only have to watch the “season” some fish are ok to catch year around but other have to go back in the water in certain month. Stone crab (my favorite) unfortunately can only be pulled between  and   Oct.15th and May 15th.If you go fishing off shore in the winter month you better bring two sweaters, it can get cold with the sea breeze.

My favorite month in St. Petersburg Tampabay are April, May and October. The weather is just nice and sunny and warm during the day and it cools of a little so you can sleep at night.

Why all these sunset photos from Saint Pete? Just so you do not forget that Saint Petersburg is the "Sunshine City" and we have beautiful sunsets every day, no matter what weather we have here in St.Petersburg Tampabay.

Ok, below are the real numbers just in case some of my readers are still confused about the St. Petersburg Tampaby weather.

Please keep in mind, this Saint Petersburg Tampabay weather report is written by someone that lives here year around and is very spoiled when it comes to cold temperatures. While I might be wearing jeans and sweaters and boots, a snow bird will still be dresses in shorts and T shirt and flip flops. While I put heavy make up on in the Florida winter (because I am soooooooo white) Vacationers  in St. Pete look like fresh cooked Lobster, nice and red.
