New bank owed town homes at Sun Ketch in Treasure Island
This listing just came on the market on 1/14/14 It is a one bedroom, one bath, 800 square feet town home with a huge garage and a balcony. The address is 208 Nautilus way and the bank is asking $152,000 for this Town house.
I went and pre viewed this Sun Ketch unit today and I was not impressed, this property needs work. I would call this on “remodel gone wrong”
The garage is plain and simple and clean, so that is all good, the staircase is the original wood and it is worn out and needs to be tiled or sanded down and stained and sealed or something.
When you walk through the front door you have a small bedroom to the right and the kitchen to the left. The kitchen has new dark wood cabinets and granite countertops and black appliances and it all looks nice and even elegant BUT the wall between the hallway and the kitchen with the door opening is still there and the counter top is flush with the cabinets so you can’t have bar stools.
originally there was a second bedroom to the left next to the living room. One of the former owners took out the wall between the bedroom and the living room and it looks kind of weird because you now have a closet in the living room and the ceiling heights doesn’t match and the tiles don’t match.
Like I said many time before, I love the Sun Ketch town homes here in Treasure Island but this unit is my least favorite. My guess is that you would have to spend about $20,000 to bring it up to today’s standard and you would still only have one bath room and a strange layout.
BUY beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there is someone that might like it a lot. You just never know. Usually bank owned properties go under contract within days but I do not see a fast turnaround for this one.
