St. Pete Beach, boating classes.

USCG Safe Boating Program.

This is one of the fun but very useful classes that you do not find too often. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 78 has a 13-week continuous Safe Boating program every Tuesday in St Pete Beach at  7:30 p.m. at the  Warren Webster Community Center, 1500 Pass-a-Grille Way, St. Pete Beach.

You can start at your convenience. At the first day, come at 7 p.m. to register. You can begin any Tuesday and finish 13 weeks later or take up to two years to finish whatever fits your schedule. June program includes: “Powering Your Boat” June 14,     “Knots” June 21, and    “Weather” June 28.

The course includes 400-pages of materials.  For more information call  Jim at 360-4846 or Warren at 321-7801, or Phil at 865-2226.They can answer all your questions.

If you live here in Tampabay and have a boat or Jet ski  it might be a very good idea to take the classes. You can make it a fun event for the whole family if you want to. What else are you going to do on a Tuesday night? Watch TV?
