I sometimes wonder, how can Realtors survive that have NO social or people or negotiation skills?

Unfortunately I have already run into two of them this year already and there is still 10 months to go.  Yes, a deal is between the buyer and the seller but it really does not help to annoy the heck out of the listing agent before you even present the offer. You know the feeling when the hair on the back of your neck stands up and you have to take a deep breath before you can answer the question?  My Grandma taught me that being “nice and friendly” does not cost anything and it will get you a long way. I wish everybody had learned this lesson. Sure, there is a time when you have to get tough and put down you foot and argue and make a strong point but you still don’t need to do this in a bitchy loud voice. There is no good reason whatsoever to talk bad about a seller in front of the listing agent and buyer. What do these Realtors try to accomplish? What about these Realtor that constantly tell bad stories about old clients while they are showing a home to new buyer?  Well, it is a strange world out there and I don’t think I will ever completely understand it.

I try to stay as friendly as possible but sometimes I just snap.

How do you deal with people like that?
