The Sunken Garden (I love the name) is a botanical paradise in the middle of St. Petersburg Florida. It is about 100 year old garden and has some of the oldest tropical plants in our area. The Sunken garden features more than 50,000 tropical plants, shrub, flowers and a beautiful butterfly garden. Sunken Gardens is open to the public and has great tours, horticultural classes, special events; it hosts field trips, weddings, birthdays and other private and corporate rentals.
If you are interested in gardening and want to learn more about it, The Sunken garden might be the place to go. They have a lunch and Learn thing. One of them is on Thursday, October 16 titled “Gardening in Florida” the next one is Thursday, January 15 titled “Principles of Landscape Design 101.” 11-1pm
