Food shopping in Treasure Island and St. Pete Beach, tips for people that just moved to Treasure Island or St. Pete Beach.

foodYes, we only have one grocery store in Treasure Island and this is Publix on the corner of 104th Ave and Gulf Blvd but we also have 2 Sweet bays and another Publix within 5 minutes from Treasure Island and another Publix on St. Pete beach. If I need just a few basic things, or if it rain (store has parking garage, or if I come by boat (store has a boat dock) I go to the Treasure Island Publix, if I am looking for some European item I go to the one on St. Pete Beach but my favorite Publix is the one on Pasadena Ave and Gulfport Blvd in South Pasadena. The store is huge and you find just about everything. If I want my “special bread” I go to Sweet Bay on Blind Pass road in St. Pete Beach. If I have a party or want to fill up my pantry I usually go to Sam’s Club on Park Blvd or to Aldi on 66th St.

Please keep in mind, these are MY choices not necessarily the most logical, best or cheapest but I thought this post might help people that just moved to Treasure Island or St. Pete Beach to find their way around.
